The journey was ok so we eventually arrived in Don Det (four thousand Island) like i said before the accommodation was very basic (see Photos)
The reason we headed this way was for the 4 thousand islands this is made up during the dry season when the river recedes to reveal hundreds of river islands and inlets, the largest of the permanent islands are inhabited year round and offer fascinating glimpse of the tranquil river oriented village life.
We stuck our kit in the room me and Paul had to share and it was a very small room?only enough room for a double bed and the toilet was great a squat toilet with a shower.
Once we sorted out what we was doing we headed down to the beach where we would hopefully grab a boat to see the dolphins, and also see the impressive waterfalls.
Unfortunately when we got to the beach it started to rain so we could not go out in the boats we was a bit gutted but never?mind...
So we headed to the Somphamit?waterfall, this was spectacular it split into different levels and had some fantastic rapids as well.
We all got some fantastic photos.. We headed back to the village the power only comes on between 6pm and 10pm so we had to be back to grab some food..
me and Paul headed back to our room after dinner we need to light a candle to see what we was doing, fortunately we had to hammocks outside our room so we stayed up talking and swinging in our hammocks for a few hours.
After a ok sleep we had to be up to catch the long boat to the main island so we could get the bus to Paske..
We had a very long journey to Thailand ahead of us...
