so since the last update we have been to Delhi, Agra and Jaipur as well as the wonderful amazing beautiful state of Rajestan!!we arrived on the 26/02 met a lovely man called Kitch who bless his heart was lumbered with us, as per w didnt know where to go what to do, but he found a lovely hostel for us in New Dehli in the main Bizaar called the Hare Rama amazing hostel with 3 beds ready for Heather Feathers arrival in the morn. we arrive late so drop our things off and head across the alley ( and i literally mean an alley that you can actually hope across which in itself is teeming with business, scooters the odd dog here and there and if your lucky a cow!) which happens to be a German Bakery but they do a mean Omlette Sandwich hmmm!! we sit and chill for long into the night chatting away and get up early to meet our lovely friend Heather
the remaing of the 27/02 we chill walking the streets of delhi which are amazing - i say steets but there are no steet about it, may have been once upon a time but are no linger with the traffic fighting for space on what really is a one way street, scooters auto rickshaws ( which i happen to love) cows, dogs people everything and anything that happens to need to get by!! but its teeming with shops of wonderful colourful exotic things and i want it all!!! but i resign myself to just window shopping nothing for me im afraid!!! i just love the smells and sights....
tummy is still getting used to it all takes a while we have noticed that all we need is somethng to eat and 20 minutes later that when we feel it!!! yes soree! happy days my friends but i must be thankful as i have not had the dreaded Delhi Belly as of yet!! woooo....altho im tezting this by trying little bits of salad every now and again im craving salad!!! we decide to go trekking and make our way to Agra in the morn and then to Jaipur.....i cannot speak of this now as i must go and drink as my body is draining itself through sweat...yes people i am one big sweaty blob......hmmm hold that though until we speak again....hopefully tomorrow when i shall further y eastern stories for you all!!xxx
love and kisses alwaysxxxx
Okay so i am back to further on the stories of the Golden Triangle which we decide to do as it takes in Agra- Taj Mahal, Jaipur - The Pink City and a little bit of Delhi - the capital of India. we get our taxi driver - we push the boat out alittle on this one and have our our car to take us round but as there are 3 of us it works pretty cheap and we get one night stay in Jaipur as well!! but yeh our taxi man is called Raj which means king but we soon come to call him Choucho ( i think thats how its spelt)meaning Uncle as soon becomes clear he is here to ptotect - the driving in Indian roads is INSANE!! in India there are no riles you play by your own and as with the 'streets' of Delhi all fightng for their shair of the road so it goes on the highways - dont even think im slowing down because your coming up the behind of a truck no no...why no speed up and then swerve in and out fo the traffic until you have nothing in front of you...and repeat this everytime a truck, car, rickshaw, cow, camel, monkey people are in fron, Speed up, Swerve and Speed up and Swerve...youll get there we did but i know realise i can deal with scotts driving after this experience
we arrive at Agra after around 5.5 hours driving so pretty heavy and go straight to the Taj Mahal where we get a guide and pay to get in. it appears that its my lucky day as i arrive to be searched i am the targeted one who has to take everything out of the bag one by one to be inspected and then removed to be collected later - even my playing cards and arrowwords were takn off me! you can bet i had a little grumble about that which soon disappeared as entered the site and walked up towards the first red stone gate which through the middle gave you your first glimpse of the Taj Mahal, a most majestic awe inspiring marvelling building one ever did see - it gave me goosebnumps. there really are no words to describe just awe. she is a beautiful building and built the 3rd wife of the king of the time. she bore him 14 children 8 of which died at childbirth. on her deathbed she made the kind promise to build her a magnificant building and this he did naming it after her, Taj Mahal. she is buried within it along with the king. his 1st and 2nd wife who bore him no children are buried just outside, still wihtin the site.
we couldnt resist but we had do the Diana pose by the water, all three sitting on a bench heads down with the Taj in the background!. They wont allow me to upload pictures so we cant show you any but as soon as the ladies return home this will be going up!! this is allwe ended up doing in Agra, and drove straight to Jaipur taking a further 4 hours or so but as we arrived we drove up into the Pink City up a winding road with all these beautiful arvings along the side...very majestic indeed...we woudl then spend the night here ready for a full day to the Amber Palace the most wonderful and amazing palace in all the world!! more of that later however my fingers hurt and my arms are burning as i type by bashing the keys!!xx
unmtil then lots of lovexxxx mwahxxxx
