Hola from Spain!
I just wanted to share with you all my adventure for the day in this quaint village just 14km from Ronda, Spain.
"An enduring legend holds that as they abandoned their homes in the face of the Christian onslaught, the Moors left behind a cache of treasure in a local cave. True or not, the legend still brings treasure seekers to the hills with metal detectors in their hands and hope in their hearts. There may be a grain of truth hidden deep in the heart of the legend, but if there was indeed a treasure, its value was probably grossly exaggerated. And the chances are high that it was either reclaimed or stumbled upon long ago, and its rediscovery kept a closely guarded secret. The Crown and the taxman each have a thousand eyes and ten times as many ears. A favourite target for today's treasure seekers is the Cueva de Diego (James' Cave), hidden, though not particularly well, behind the limestone mountain to the north of the town. They leave empty-handed, but having experienced a superb view of Ronda."
Wish me luck :)
