Had a mad couple of days! Went out to these islands on Lake Titicaca, which is the highest navigable lake in the world (about 3600 metres above sea level i think) and stayed with a local family. They were little tiny stone houses with no electricity or anything!
Then we visited these floating reed islands that people live on, EVERYTHING is made of reeds - the houses, the beds etc, they´ve even got these boats made out of reeds in the shape of dragons that they sail from island to island, so they took us on one! Got loads of photos so i´ll put them on tomorrow. Me and two of the guys jumped off the boat into the lake, it was freezing! No one else would jump in!
We were supposed to be staying in Puno again tonight put after we visited the islands we found out that there was going to be road blocks and strikes on the Bolivian border so we had to quickly get our stuff from the hotel and get back on the truck to try and get over the border as quickly as possible! Luckily we made it so we´re actually in Bolivia now. We´re staying in La Paz (the capital) for the next few nights so i´ll write more tomorrow.
