We´ve FINALLY made it to Argentina, after 3 solid days of travelling....And 3 hours spent at the Bolivia/Argentina border while they faffed around with our passports and we all got majorly sun burnt cos no one had suncream on cos it was 9am, there was no shade, and we thought it would take about 10 minutes...!
We arrived at our campsite in Salta at 11pm last night, and set up our tents in the dark and the POURING rain. Not fun. Our campsite has the got the largest swimming pool in South America though, its huge! It´s honestly the size of a large lake. (But of course its been raining all day so we havnt had chance to go in it...)
Cos everyone was in a bad mood from travelling and setting up camp in the rain we all went out at about midnight last night cos the clubs etc dont open til 1am anyway. This is the best place we´ve been for nightlife so far, most people went to one club where they were playing Spanish music but me and a couple of others found somewhere with English dance music, wahoo, so we stayed in there til it closed at 6am and went back to the campsite (in the pouring rain).
Tonight we´re gonna go for a meal, in loads of the restaurants they have live bands and local people doing tango dancing shows we we´re gonna go to one of those places. Then tomorrow we´re going white water rafting and canopy sliding (which is where there´s a zip line attached to two cliffs above a canyon and you´re strapped to it, and you basically run and throw yourself off the cliff and slide along the zip line, cool!).
I´m going to try and put more photos on tomorrow cos i´ve got over 300 now!
