After a staggering 509 km we finally made it to Surfers Paradise....we left Moree at 10 am and got to QLD at half 5. It was a very long journey but we had a 3 night stop over here so we thought we could chill out a bit.......How wrong was I!!!!
There was so much to do....we all had a great time though. After checking into our accommodation we took a drive out to Sea World Resort area and had dinner by the water front in nice little restaurant, followed by a Max Brennon dessert...yum yum!!
The next morning we did a 45 min Jet Ski Safari at 11am, so we chilled out for a bit before making our way back to the Sea World Resort area. We were warned that it was a bit choppy......choppy was a definate understatment, but we had fun none the less. Aaron went on the back of Nicks, Jordan came on the back of mine and Sylvia (Nicks Mum) had her own. It was great fun once we got the hang of it and a bit hairy in places with waves crashing over us, we were pleased we did it and came out of it alive, Nick & Aaron on the other hand were like Pigs in poo, they thoroughly enjoyed and laughed at the fact that us girlies struggled a bit! Afterwards we had a bit of lunch and then made our way back to our accommodation to chill out in the pool for the rest of the afternoon, before walking into the city centre for a look around and a snack for dinner, We even found the British Lolly Shop.....Awesome!!! Spent a few Dollars in there..stocking up on Bread Sauce and English swees that we cant get over here in the normal supermarkets!!
Day 3 we had previously booked a Whale Watching Tour so we made our way yet again to the Sea World Resort to catch our Cattermerran out to sea.
We saw a few Humpback Whales but unfortunatley the didnt breach right out of the sea, although they did lots of tail slapping. They seemed to be travelling in pairs, diving down for about 7 mins and then comming up for air before going down again, it was amazing to see. So glad we did it even though I felt so sea sick!! It took me all of the rest of that day to recover from it!
Afterwards we walked around Sea World, watched the dolphin display, stood in amazement at the White Polar Bears playing with each other, they were really showing off, it was quite funny!
The next day we drove to Coffs Harbour.
