Kaikoura
We had one spare coach pass left so decided to go to kaikoura which is renowned for Whale watching. A really cute little village. We were staying in a massive hostel above the pub and to make things even better we had our own room.
We were disappointed to find out that the Whale watching doesn't happen by looking out at the coast. it actually costs 150 dollar. we decided against it but was told there was a seal colony up the road and we were assured we would see lots of seals. 1 million mile (about 6) hike later (along the coast so can't complain) we got to the Seal spot to find ONE whole seal. We Took a few snaps in the freezing wind and then walked 1 millliiiooonnn miles back. Was quite amusing!
Later that evening we bought a bottle of wine and sat above our hostel where we find a secret little field overlooking the New Zealand beauty. It Was our own little Secret Garden Party.

The 1 u left behind! Hi Girlies! I have to confess, this is the first time I have looked at your blogs! Sorry its not that i dont care, time just flies. I have enjoyed reading your blogs Clara, I especially like the use of the word "Wowzers". I have been a little jealous of you all being away, but have to admit the whole whale watching, seal trip does'nt sound very interesting, but typically Clara (at 11 years old anyway!) Look forward to reading more! Love you all xxx
The 1 u left behind! Also, i thought that was a picture of cows in a field until i clicked on it, and it went close up. That's not an insult, it just does look like a cow for a second!
Carmel(Clara's Mum) Greetings from Ireland. Everyone sends their love to you all from here.xxx
