Down south by the sea lies the town of Sihanoukville. Many people told us not to bother going here as it can be cheap and sleezy. We opted for the quiet end away from all the touristy areas and found ourselves staying in wooden hut dorms by an almost deserted beach. We stayed for four nights to allow our Vietnam visas get processed in town. We chilled, tanned, ate and drank and really enjoyed relaxing. During the day we would have children coming up to us on the beach asking us to buy bracelets etc. These children were young and should of been at school. Cambodia asks tourists not to buy and to report if they think children are being made to work and not go to school. They are working hard to keep children safe and get them out of exploitative situations such as being made to work or be involved in trafficking and the sex industry.
