Headed over to the death railway and bridge over the river Kwai mid morning. It's famous as 100,000's POW's died whilst building the railway and bridge for the Japaneze army during WWII. It was also bombed by the Americans and the Japanese tied all American prisoners to the bridge to stop it from happening - it was still blown up. We could have paid to ride a train over the river, but we had just missed it.
