Checked out this morning and prepared ourselves for 24 hours of being homeless! Again, we just chilled on Koh San trying not to spend any money. We then met up with Matt who again, had no luggage! We again had another lazy day in the capital with nothing much for us to see or do, other than aimlessly wander up Koh San Rd and avoid the heat. In the evening we met up with Matt who again still had no bag, so we took him to a few shops so he could finally get changed and bought some shorts and flip flops! We then went to a restaurant for something to eat and had a few beers whilst watching the football.

We didnt do much in the morning as it was just way to hot to do anything - so we just walked round the town and had a couple of drinks before heading back to the guesthouse's bar and waited until we got picked up for Bangkok, by the smallest minibus ever which even though it was due to be 'air con' it blew out warm air and for a maximum of 6 people we were squashed in with 10 others - it was a really comfortable journey. Headed over to the death railway and bridge over the river Kwai mid morning. It's famous as 100,000's POW's died whilst building the railway and bridge for the Japaneze army during WWII. It was also bombed by the Americans and the Japanese tied all American prisoners to the bridge to stop it from happening - it was still blown up. Begrudgingly we dragged ourselves our of bed at 6.15am to get the train to Kanchanaburi. Dave not surprisingly got us to the train station with plenty of time to spare and we queued for our ticket.
