LAST blog notes so they are sparse now due to my laziness developed after long periods of no internet access.
I resisted the temptation to purchase diamonds in Cape Town and boarded another Kulula flight to Johannesburg.
The cabin staff kindly pointed out that should the cabin pressure decrease then oxygen could be obtained from the yellow margarine tub will fall from the overhead compartment.
Johannesburg - I did not find this a comfortable place to be
Took a 4 hour coach trip whichlasted 6 hours!
I saw Nelson Mandelas house, Johannesburg football stadium, drove through Soweta and townships.
Started my 10 days of 6am starts but not wishing to exagerate I did enjoy 2 lie ins till 7am
Blyde River Canyon
Camping was pretty chilly - so glad I purchased a thermal blanket to assist my -2C sleeping bag in keeping me warm. My tent looked like a tent but certainly didn't smell like one.
Three Rondavels but early mist hid their beauty - although I am not really sure how mountains can be called beautiful
Kruger game drives were by far the highlight of this trip for me. An abundance of animals and yet many more photos.
Zulu village tour - had to wear a wrap showing the Kings face before entering the village and were taught how to say hello to great the Queen of the village. Luckily she wasn't in so we met her daughter. We danced, sang, shopped and donated cash.
Crossed the border into Mozambique for our relaxing stay in Bilene. Probably would have been more relaxing if our truck had have been able to fit through the entrance gates rather than carrying our tents, poles and rucksacks up to the camp site.

Camping at Milwane where wart hogs and impalas walked through the camp area with the zebras staying 100m away
St Lucia South Africa not Bahamas
The boat cruise was cancelled due to the extreme wet and windy weather so I missed out on seeing the hippos there.
2 of the group did witness the local hippos strolling around the street. They did say this was not the after effects of the local rum and sightings are a regular occurance in the area.
Arrived in Durban to torential rain and wind.
1 day to repack and reduce luggage wieight to within 20kg in preparation of my Flybe flight where they take no prisoners and each extra ounce is charged at a heafty rate
6 months have passed me by.
Travelled numerous miles, enjoyed the sights of various countries, met many people. Time to return home for a rest and to start planning my next adventure
