Myella Farm Stay Myella Farm stay - was a cattle farm turned tourist attraction run by a couple Peter and Olive and their daughter Lin. There was horse riding - motor biking (now used to round up cattle), swimming pool, farm type stuff - milking cows, collecting eggs, feeding the galar. All very relaxed (a bit too much seeming as we were paying for the experiences). Everyone except LM and me went off riding on the first morning, I managed to get LM to sit under a tree while I did the first bit of motor bike training - but then had to abandon it as the training went took off down the road. The girls did very well on the horses, especially Frances whose horse bolted and bucked at the end of the ride. She was very upset - but managed to stay on. Lin was brilliant the next day and made No 1 get back on the same horse and led her for the whole ride. Very emotional for Frances - but she did it and hopefully she will be ok riding next time. The afternoon bike riding was not so good as one or two of the people couldn't get the hang of it so it meant the rest of us had to go round this circuit - standing up - 2nd gear - 3rd gear - stop! Only the last 20 minutes was spent actually going round the farm. All the meal involved beef - steak, sausages or roast - which was fine, there was home brew available as well as the Burton Gin & Tonic. This particular ranch bought in a herd of cattle, and kept it for 2 years then sold it on - mainly to the Japanese market. This gave them more time for the tourist activities that they did. We all enjoyed farm life and decided to stay on for the next day so we could all re-do the activities. Although one of those was lolling on a hammock in the nicely watered garden
