We arrived in Brisbane on Wednesday evening and met our housemates Matt and Laura. It was good to catch up with them and swap elective stories! The hostel was a huge improvement from the last one - outside the city centre but very clean and there were no hippies to be seen! We spent Thursday in the city - taking in all the main sites and even spent some time on their fake beach on the south bank! It's a really pretty place and it was a shame we couldn't spend more time there. Friday we headed for Noosa - another coastal town though rather more upmarket than the places we have been to so far. It was gorgeous with so many beautiful shops. The backpackers rule in that town is 'look but don't touch' which we almost managed! We spent some time on the beach and then did a 7km walk around the National Park yesterday afternoon but failed in our attempts to spot Dolphins and Koalas! Then this morning we have travelled to Harvey Bay. We are being picked up at 7.40 in the morning for our Fraser Island trip which should be fun. Have had quite a busy few days and the time is going pretty quickly now. Love Laura and Chrisxx
