Hello Chris and Carol! We regrettably arrived home last evening from our trip and finally had a chance to check out your website - it's terrific. Your Antarctic photos are fantastic and I already plan to steal some of them for our album. David figured out we shot over 2000 photos and 18 hours of video ourselves in less than 4 weeks - yikes!
We flew through Santiago on Sunday night on our way home from Patagonia and had a 5-hour layover so we came into town to have dinner with our friends who were staying on. David and I were joking how freaked out you guys would be if we knew where you were staying and just showed up at your hotel to say hi. It gave us a good laugh and made us wish we knew which hotel you were staying in.
Hope your trip continues to be fabulous and we look forward to following your adventures in New Zealand and beyond.
Belated Happy Christmas and an early Happy New Year (since you'll be missing it).

Merry Christmas from Reno! I wish you both a happy holidays and and fantastic New Year. Have a great time celebrating the season on the road. New Years parties should be great! Drink lots of champagne and whatever the local drink is as well. Hope you're both doing well. I've fallen behind reading about your trip, so I'll try to catch up. You're out living a life I don't even have time to read about. Well, that's a switch. I was out partying last weekend like we were back in Margarita. It took me days to recover. There were 50 people dressed as Santa and five of us dressed as elves. Merry Christmas from the world's tallest elf.
Take care,
Robert

Have a fantastic Christmas in Santiago!!!! I can't wait to hear all about Antartica when you get here, I based in Tutukaka in Northland and the diving is awesome. Any chance you could bring a spare glass from the Conch E Toro winery, excellent tour if you haven't done it already, and a large packet of mate herb as i've run out!!!?
Have a really awesome christmas and a wonderful New Year!
All my love and sweet kisses under the mistletoe, safe travels! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Yo - It was good to IM with you the other day - glad you got back from Antarctica OK - it looked a bit rough. We have booked a bit more travelling for the new year, weekends in Galway, Amsterdam & Geneva (low cost airlines are a fantastic concept!!!) - but we still haven't got to your level of Global travel experience. I hope you haven't forgotten to send us a Christmas Card!!! - good luck & keep in touch
Wendy & Ray!
I know don't faint - truly sorry its taken us so long!!!!! but as you can see we are now actually up and running again - only 5 months without!
What an amazing trip you two young things are having! The photos are stunning - have you started the book? or are you doing a 'Bridget'? You both look so well - and only one 'dot' must be luuvve!
Things - as you can see - are much the same here! No we haven't sold the house - taken it off for Xmas and will put back on with new agents after New Year. An extremely trying time is being had by all!!!!! I've got to keep working 'too boot'.
Your neighbours house is growing and growing! Large - yours now looks like a bungalow!!!!
When you read this I expect you will be in warmer climes! Loads to say and loads to ask but will get back soon.
Will speak soon - Lovely, lovely Christmas to you both and what can we say about 2005 - it can only get better I'm not sure how for you as 2004 is going to be hard to top!
Much much love xxxxx

Hey you two!! I haven't posted anything for a while, had so much uni work to do (can't believe it's my last year!) so just wanted to say hi, hope you're both doing ok, etc! I've always wanted to go to Antartica, i'm so jealous of you both lol. Will you bring me back a penguin?? Pleeeaaassseee?!?! I've decided I don't want to practice law in this country, so consequently haven't applied for the BVC or LPC. Instead i'm going to go for the New York Bar after i've finished my degree! Exciting stuff =) Hope you're not too cold, you need to wrap up warm like a fluff monster. Speak to you both soon, lots of love, Siobhan xxx

If Carol is Kate Winslet then I suppose Chris must be Leonardo di Caprio. So have you met Billy Zane, Kathy Bates and Bill Paxton yet? Chris, your collection of hats is really coming on. I hope you are holding onto them all for the future !!! You will be able to do the Tommy Cooper "Hats" routine. Which brings me on to something to keep out the cold i.e Two Eskimos sitting in a kayak were chilly. They lit a fire in the craft, it sank, proving once and for all that you can't have your kayak and heat it.
Best wishes you two. Be careful on that boat.Best Wishes Loll.
