Chloe's Travels
So our journeys have began along North Eastern tropical Queensland, starting in Cairns. Got to meet up with 'The Girls' (Lauren, Sarah and Zoe) and Sam again, our lovely frineds from Thailand/Sydney. Had some great times involving bbq's, sharks and handstand games in the pool-where somehow divvy over here managed to loose a contact lens in the lagoon so had to walk around like a pirate with 1 eye shut for the rest of the day, playing the 'locker game' when rather drunk and lots of fun games in our own 6 bed dorm room! The highlight being white water rafting, was so much fun-i sat at the front for maximum effect which was great when caught out by rocks and fighting with the other rafts-love the adrenalin rush when the boat falls down a waterfall-cannot wait to do again in New Zealand!
We then all moved onto Magnetic Island and stayed in a resort which was just like Thailand and hired THE coolest open top 'barbie car' which us girlies drove all around the island tooting our horn and checking out the sights while searching for wild koala's, was such a giggle! Downwards we travelled to Airlie Beach ready for our Whitaundays sailing adventure. We went on a maxi sailing boat named 'SPank Me' on a 4 day/3 night trip. I had the best time ever with perfect blue skies and no wine which meant the boat wasn't rocky thankfully!! Got to do an intro dive and loved it so much i went out the following day for a proper dive where i saw giant manta bull rays mating, 3 sharks and millions of mulitcoloured fishies and coral-was sooooo amazing! Every night we got to see awesome sunsets while sipping our goon (cheap wine in a box) and played some fun games with everyone on board. The highlight was stopping at Whitehavebn beach-famous for it's white silica sand and turquoise sea-the beach was desserted and was by far the nicest most stunning beach i have ever seen! Back on land in Airlie we celebrated Lauren's birthday at a yummy mexican and then partied the night away which was all going v.well until we stumbled upon a bar we thought we would check out but happened to be in the middle of a wet-t-shirt competition, the DJ decided to announce when we walked in 'wow, 5 gorgeous girls have just walked in, why dont we get them wet' so before we knew what was happeneing all the letching blokes with jugs of water whipped around and threw freezing water all over us-lucky little old me bore the brunt of the water and was in a plain white dress...............had to totter off home looking like i had willingnilly participated in a wet-t-shirt comp, luckily i found the funny side-thankfully for you all i will not be attaching pictures of that event!!!
