Today we went with one of the volunteers who is teaching English in the primary school here and we met the kids (all 25 of them!) that will be in one of our 4th grade English classes when we start teaching in September. Weird that there was that huge earthquake in Lima...glad the timing was such that we weren't there....that would have been freaky. We spent a couple of days in Lima and really loved what we saw...the market, really good restaurants, a hotel that made us feel that we were living in a Maeve Binchy novel (have you read her?)
