Bonjour-no!!!
Firstly we want to apologise for the delay, we know its taken ages but weve been trying to find somewhere where we can put our pics on aswell but we have to have them put onto DVD coz of the sort of memory card we have & its proving impossible, 2 days now weve spent purly lookin for somewhere - no luck so far, shauns running round Cannes now lookin aswell so sorry again theres no pics!!!
Right, anyway, back to it..... we left you last in Salou, on the 19th we headed upto Barcelona but coz uit was the Easter holidays everywhere was either booked up or far to expensive for us poor gypsys so we headed inland and visited Mosserratt, absolutly amazin place, the only way to it was either by cable car or train, we opted for the train coz i was a little scared of the cable cars. Its a religous/historical place like a gazillion miles above seqa level thats surrounded by the most amazing rock formations. We then headed back to the coast into the costa brava and for the first time since we have been away the weather wernt to tropical, didnt rain though. We spent a good few days just chillin out, drunk many beers (shaun), moved up the coast. seen some beautiful places but coz its easter everywheres dead! On the 25th we woke up in spain for the last time and drove to Figures - the birth place of Dali - and visited his museum, wa well good pretty sure Mr chew wa a little bored but i loved it! The place wa proper nice aswell, loads a cobbled backstreets cramed wi shops, bars and restaurants.
we then drove to france, we were expecting something, anything that resembled some sort of security measure, you know passport control. Well what a joke, there was a hut at the side of the road wi a couple of old guys, we couldnt believe it, we could of just carried on drivin but we didnt, he finally came over looked at our passports and that was it. Whats all that about??
Anyway woohoo viva la france. We both love france so much, its instantly different, spain is lovely but we could live in france!! We stopped the night in the first town we came across then headed upto Alexs, Villeneuve sur lot inbetween bordeaux and tolouse. Arrived on the 27th, that morning havin been towed out of our parking spot by a very angry french farmers tractor, i thought he was gunna pull out a shotgun on us cos we ruined his grass but he didnt instead he shuck shauns hand?? So yeah had a really good few days at alexs, met the majority of his team mates, everyone was really nive, laughed alot. the double french kiss thing took a bit of gettin used to, complete strangers walkin up and expecting a kiss but were ok. Ate alot of good food that wkend and were even privalaged enough to be invited upto the red lion - Frankys (Alexs wannabe english french coach) bar at his house:) From alexs we drove back to the med coast and have visited loads of beautiful towns, hidded off the beaten tracks, we stopped in Agde, Palavas les flonts, Stes maries de la mer, and Collias next to the river Gardon! We went into Nimes, amazing! We could walk aroungd there for weeks and keep seeing new things - vert nice place. Weve also visited - get ready........... den den deeeeeeeen ................. only the bl00dly HARIBO museum and its true what they say kids and grown-ups do love it so, i couldnt believe how many groups of adults there were - shaun of course was in his element - he now believes he is their biggest fan!! Stes - Maries was amazing, so nice, is a maze of cobbled market streets, so oldy worldy would defo go back - o yeah, guess what? Pink flamingos, everywhere - just chillin out next to us i couldnt believe it! The Gardon river was very nice aswell, the site there was ace and the weather was so hot but the pool was empty, couldnt believe it!
So incase you were wondering we are still loving every second (the drivings a little taxing though) and we know how amazing it is that were doing this - life is very good:)
Thank-you very much for reading hope all is well, now get back to work X X X X X
