Koh Lanta is much more chilled out, like Koh Tao. On the night we arrived we found out that every hotel on the island was full and so had nowhere to stay! The people at a little reggae bar on the beach (Ting tong bar) set up tents for our bags and let us sleep on the floor/hammocks at the bar. Had band on which were good, jodie got up and sang with them!! Had people bringing snakes around and doing snake show so Nikki was terrified for the first hour! The next night we checked into the resort next door, Full Moon Resort. The thai family that run it found it hilarious where we had slept the night before. Our room here is fine although quite basic again, instead of windows in bathroom there is just holes in the wall! There isnt much to do on the island apart from snorkeling/diving, just very laid back and pretty beach resort. We have one more night here and then travel on to Phi Phi in morning.
