Our long awaited holiday in Fiji, with the white sand, clear water and sun, didn't start off too well, with a few days of rain . . . but luckily it perked up for Cherry's birthday on our first island Manta Ray, where we spent 4 days. That day we made coconut braclets - sawing and polishing them! The evening contained a cocktail race, the limbo and coconut football! The next morning we visited a little village on a nearby island, we got to go to their church service where the sang and welcomed us. The next island was Long Beach - a slightly less commercial and more local resort. We spent 4 days basically sunbathing and swimming in the perfect clear sea and having daily cakes in the locals' house. After we had three nights on Beachcomber, in our 100 person dorm! Really, really good food and we saw a Fijian dance show and a crab race. The last few days we spent on Bounty - th 'Celebrity Love Island' island. The original pool was still there. We made the most of the sun, sunbathing, swimming and cocktails - absolute paradise. We even made the effort to walk around the island - a whole 15 minutes! We spent our last night before heading back to Nadi, sat with our last Fijian cocktail and a farewell Fijian song (which we had heard so many times before!). Next stop, our last - America!
