My Family Travels
Today was just a driving day, so at first I was going to skip writing. But as I was sitting in the backseat for many hours, I decided to take a few pictures to show you the view out my window.
You can see for miles and miles and miles! You may think it can be boring, but really there is a lot to see. At first it was very flat. But then we got into some foothills. You could just speed down the highway. That is until you get stuck behind some combines and mobile homes. That caused quite a slow down, but only caused us to lose a few minutes. My new teddy from our last stop was a great travel partner!
Here is a list of what we saw:
cattle
wheat fields
antelope
flat flat flatness
foothills
a lot of space!
a huge sky!
I didn't realize how big the sky can feel until I started looking out my window. Montana is called Big Sky Country. At home when I look into the sky it is framed by houses or trees. When all that is gone, the sky is just huge and beautiful!
One of the must dos for my in-laws was to stop anywhere that had huckleberries. So when we were driving in a small town and saw a burger place that had huckleberry shakes, Paul's dad (who was driving) drove straight in. So Paul and I shared a burger and a shake. The shake tasted yummy! I can't wait to taste something with fresh huckleberries in it!
So that was our driving day. I will have to come up with something else for our other long driving days.
