Thursday 06.03.08

Today, the silly people who tell us the weather lie to us telling us that it will be 39 degrees today!! So Tom, Harry and I get up especially early, 9:30 and plan to go to the beach for the whole day!! Harry is borrowing an old banger of a car, it is so amusing, and we set off with a rather cloudy looking sky! I am not convinced, and I express this but Tom is adamant the weather WILL BE HOT!! However, we arrive at the beach and it starts to rain!! Great!! So we keep on driving and do a big circle back to Lonsdale Street! Not amusing at all!! And rather upsetting.

Tom and I mope around...rather emotional about the outcome of the morning and then I receive a call from work asking me to cover a shift that evening! Grrrrrrrr! And I can never say no to these people! So I drag Tom to the shops with me to grab some desperate supplies and then cook up some amazing egg on toast and head to work!! The shift goes really well actually, the kids are all great and I receive the best compliment possible...one of the little girls I had tells me...'You are a great coach'...bless her she made my day!!

When I get back I cook some food and chill out with Tommy, Adam and Jamie are still suffering from flu so I feel it best to stay well away!!

Friday 07.03.08

I drag myself out of bed...but suprise suprise none of the boys are up so I decide I am not going to stay in the apartment all day, but that I am going to go on an adventure into the city...in search of Ugg Boots and Harry Potter!! The weather was rainy and grim, so it was a good day to go! I eventually found some Ugg boots but for $300, I thought they were meant to be cheap over here!! The other 'real' ones were much cheaper and didn't feel or look very nice!! So Ugg Boots were a failure...onto Harry Potter...I found him but he was going to cost my $50 thats £25 and way too much for my budget! But I did spend half an hour choosing a birthday card for mummy...note to dad...mum's birthday is the 22nd March...DON'T FORGET!!

I get back and attempt to cook my latest meal...Spanish Omelette!! And I think it was a pretty good first effort! It tasted good, a little burnt but who doesn't love a bit of charcoal topping!! Tom has a taste and is rather impressed! Not quite the same as Spain though...

In the evening I have a major catch up of Gossip Girl and upload lots of photos onto here!! Hope those of you that don't have facebook are enjoying them!! I have taken over 1000 so far...and many more to come I am sure!! Back in the room before I go to sleep, I get Harry to write in my book! Very emotional! We have had a few disputes over him bringing his friends back, and my want for vegetables and a full fridge, but other than that we have been great roomys! I suppose that all part of growing up! I just hope the people I stay with at uni are clean otherwise there will be deaths!! I say goodbye and goodnight!!

Saturday 08.03.08

Today, like the last couple of days is a rather boring one!! All the boys are at cricket, jamie is still 'dying' in bed, and the weather is shcoking, so I spent the whole morning on the computer! I uploaded huge amounts of photos, write a lengthy email to Sport Lived which decides to delete, therefore I have to do a Gavin Parish, walk away from the computer, taking in deep breaths and swearing my head off!! And of course I hot facebook and write to many people!! Also I have a go at working out how much my trips are going to cost, and I predict £3500!! Which should leave me a little bit of money to go back to England with which would be great!! I also speak to the Frank, and she tells me how much she is loving Sydney, and about all the activities she has booked for the coast!! I get rather excited by this!! I can't wait to go now!!

I clean Tom's room and do the washing...yes I was that bored and say goodbye to Charlie!! I feel really down in the afternoon as everyone is moving on or going back home, and I just want to leave now for the Oz Experience!! But I decide it is best to finish work, grab my money and then go!! As I will earn another $400 which will be great!!

I take myself to Melbourne Museum in the afternoon, all on my own! It was free and I wandered around for an hour! It was awesome actually!! Loads of stuff for kids, that I enjoyed myself!! There was an exhibition about Pompeii, a section all about the Human Body and an indoor rainforest!! It was really interesting so I enjoyed my short visit.

When I get back, I make Spagetti Carbonara for Tom and I, we have another romantic night haha! He makes me giggle! And it is good, maybe a little more cream needed though!! So thats three new things I have cooked, and all have turned out good! I know it is only a case of following a recipe but if you knew my cooking skills before than you will know for me even this was difficult!! I then go and enter the sick room for more Gossip Girl its amazing, like the O.C. and One Tree Hill combined, and they are all so gorgeous, Mum we are going to have to get into this series!! We then all have a good chat about everything and I hit bed at 3am!! Oh dear!!

Sunday 09.03.08......................Move to South Yarra

I get up really early, as I cannot sleep so only had like 5 hours sleep! Not so good! I pack all my stuff and get very stressed as there is no way that I can fit it all into my bag!! I will definately have to send stuff home! How is it that mum's can seem to fit it all in?? I pack up all my food, my loo rolls, washing up liquid, cling film...I am leaving nothing and then have 6 bags to transport from Lonsdale Street to South Yarra! Adam and Jamie come with me to help! We grab a taxi and meet my mentor Charlotte!

The place is awesome, it is like living in a hotel, I have a big kitchen, everything included!! A living area, dining area, desk area and then seperate huge bathroom and bedroom! With two single beds which is great as Adam is probably going to stay with me for a bit so he can have a bed!! Charlotte leaves, I unpack the food and then we go adn see the pool and gym. Not very impressive but still there is one!! The pool I would push off and reach the other end, and the gym has two machines haha not that I would have used them anyway!!

We then get creamed up and head to Brighton Beach...yes there is one here in Australia!! They just have not experienced the Parish Family, like the one in England!! And it is somewhat nicer than the English verison, sandy for starters. It is quiet and chilled, and we grab huge ice creams that melt at an extreme pace, all over my hands! I go for a swim and impress Jamie with my strokes although he says I look scary when I do breaststroke!! We sun for a few hours then head home. I get off at South Yarra Station saying bye to the boys!! I make the lonely walk home! I have not got any of the numbers for the other coaches staying here yet! So I have a quiet night in! I watch Wedding Crashers, paint my nails, straigthten my hair and cook dinner!! I so don't want to be alone in life...it wasn't so nice being all on my own!! I go to bed and look forward to seeing the lads again tomorrow!!

Monday 10.02.08

As it is a bank holiday, and the weather is 39 degrees I decide that I must go to the beach! I take my ipod and a magazine and head down to St Kilda on my own! It is sooooooooooo HOT like unbearably, I had sweat running all over me! Yuch!! In the afternoon Tom joined me, but then as soon as he laid his towel down the sun went in and became really windy and cloudy, and a little nippy (literally)! So we decided to go into the beach restaurant, get some drinks and chat until 5pm when the $5 pizza deal started!! The time flew and we ordered our pizzas! So good, I ahd a sliced beef one and goats cheese! But unsuprisingly I was still hungry, even though I am gettin better at telling myself...NO MORE FOOD!! haha! I went back to the city with Tom as he said I could take all his food as he was moving out!! Money saving! Definately!!

I popped up to see Jamie and Adam, it felt really weird being back there but not staying!! It took me ages ot get home and being in my beach wear from the afternoon I was freezing by the time I got back!! Charlotte rang me and she took me to see the other coaches, some of them I had already met in Billboards...a couple I couldn't remember!! Slightly embarrassing! They were all really nice, there is Hugo, Ben and Ollie in one room, and then Tom, George, Al and Greg in another!! They are a good bunch so hopefully I'll be seeing a bit of them!! Also the invited me out on Tues! So result I had not been out for over a week and fel the need for a boogie!!

Tuesday 11.03.08

Not quite settled in South Yarra (the upmarket Chelsea equivilant of Melbourne), I made my way to work!! I had a 15min tram ride and a 15min walk!! Which definately woke me up as I felt soooooooooo tired!! They day went well! And now only one more full thurs to do...YAY!! I went to lunch with Jayne on a little street near by, we ahd fish and chips...cheap and cheerful and sat out in the sun!! It makes me really think of Spain, sitting outside enjoying lunch in the heat!! Love it!!

The afternoon shift went well...it was Water Safety Week, where we teach the children about swimming in Open Water, so really it was a fun session with a serious meaning! After teaching the main things, e.g. things to watch out for at the beach, the help signal and position and then rescues...we then messed around in the inflatable boats imagining we were fishing out at sea! They loved it and I had just as much fun shocking them by capsizing the boats!!

I got back to find Jamie and Adam settled in to the apartment, they went to the luxury cinema and I cooked Chicken Paprika and dolled myself up for the night ahead!! I met the coaches upstairs and we played ring of fire which was rather amusing! Then we caught a taxi to Cheerz Bar...it was absolutely awesome!! The music downstairs was Pop and RnB so I loved it, anfd more dance upstairs but the best part...at the Twister Bar, you ordered a round and then the bar man tossed a coin and if you called right, you got the round for free! It was amazing!! And we won so many times, so lots of vodka!! Not so good the next morining!! I partied the night away and they were all up for dancing so it was a good night!! Except for the fact Tom and I decided to walk back only to find we were walking for 30mins in the wrong direction so had to pay double for a taxi!! Not good! haha but a great first night out in South Yarra!!

Wednesday 12.03.08

I spent the morning recovering in bed! Draggig my banging head out of bed at 1pm to get ready for work! I had to leave a little earlier as I had to catch two trains!! I said bye to Jamie who was to leave to get back to England when I was at work!! Very emotional...he was one of my party people its just me and adam now and Tom but he is livng ages away :(

Work went really well considering how I had felt in the morning, and no tears so that was a result!! I did demo's in the squad sessions! So it was nice to get back into the water...I am determined to swim next Monday and tuesday, probs won't happen though! I leave on a high, and get back to find a very bored Adam! I make Spaghetti Carbonara for us both...yummy! And we chat for ages, it gets too late for a film, and I head to bed as Simon is coming for a meeting in the morning!!

Thursday 13.03.08

Simon meets me at 9am, and we go to the coffe shop on the corner! He buys me an Orange Juice and Baguette! Result! Ha! We have a chat about my problems at the start with Sport Lived, and apologies etc, plus I may get some moeny back for the washing and kitchen stuff I had to buy so that is great! He also tells me he thinks i'm a great character and that all my feedback will really help Sport Lived as a company! So this makes me feel a little better!!

I get back to the apartment at 10 and pull Adam's duvet off and make him get up! We have a busy morning!! We go to the city to do some chores etc...we visit Lonsdale Street which feels really weird!! We hand the keys back and say bye to Rio, the gay manager of the building...he is hilarious!! We then go in search of PeterPans Backpacker centre!! I know it is on Elizabeth Street but forgot ot check where! So we jump on a tram both taking a side and eventually we find it at the end!! I go in and become quickly excited!! I book the Oz Experience, and manage to get $35 off as they have a cheaper price written in their brochure!! I book to leave on the 20th...ahhhhh!! Decision made, date set, I'm off in a week!! Scary!! But I can't wait!

I then take some bits back, as does Adam, we then split as I go for a wax, and Adam has a haircut and we meet in DFO a huge shopping centre!! Bad BAD idea! Totally! We go to a shop that sells Abercrombie really cheap and I buy a dress and top...then I see another shop and buy 5 vest tops, an evening top and a dress!! In total I spent $100 which is only £47 but I still felt a bit guilty spending it!!

We aim to get the ferry to Williamstown, the little town at the coast that was origianlly meant to be the city centre, but we miss it so head back!! I cook Tomato and Bacon Pasta and plan my last few days!! Weather is amazing so this is great!! I then steal loads of Adams music! Its awesome! And upload my blog!!

A rather boring week, hopefully the next few days will be good! Can't wait to move now I have booked it...a week today!! So excited!!
