Leaving our secluded and loved wooden cabin in river valley we started out journey to Wellington with plenty of stories to tell and hear from the group from the day and night! The majority of the day was spent travelling and stopping off a various lakes and waterfalls (including the one were Gollum was found fishing) and jumping off in the water! By the time we arrived in Wellington we all felt for a chilled night as we'd been travelling all day, we checked into Nomads hostel and decided to go to the cinema to watch the new Hangover 3 as it was cheap Tuesdays! When we came back to the hostel we watched more films in the hostel lounge with some of the guys from our group before going to bed. We decided to find some free stuff to do for the day whilst in Wellington so went to the Te Papa museum just down the round and the Andy Warhol exhibition, both very good and interactive which only kept us entertained for a few hours! It was one of the girls birthdays in our group so we'd all decided to dress up as geeks and go out in the so-called 'funky' Wellington city to some local bars, it was a hilarious night and we managed never to escape a weird look with our geek attire on! Finally making it back to the hostel the remaining 16 of us all decided to share a 10 bed dorm which meant we could all have a hilarious reminiscing session about the night! Waking up to a stuffy, sleepover infested room we all erupted into laughter talking about the night before and spent the rest of the day looking around Wellington and watching various films! The next day we had to catch the ferry to the South Island where we were meant to be leaving the group, however decided there was no harm in moving onto Kaiteriteri for one more night together. Kaiteriteri was a secluded beach town which was lovely and quiet and having only our group there made it more fun. Leaving our friends the next day we hitch hiked our way to Nelson to catch our flight to Christchurch, sleeping in the airport until our flight out of New Zealand into Brisbane!
