Hello!!

Sorry it has taken so long for us to write a blog, we are alive honest!! We have had a manic 2 and half weeks starting in Hong Kong where we got the tram up to Victoria Peak, took a ride on the world's longest escalator, visited an old temple, ate in 'dubious' looking restaurants, did a harbour tour on the Star Ferry and did loads of walking! Hostel looked like a prison but it was all part of the fun!!

Then we headed over to Cairns where we spent 5 days and did a jungle walk at Cape Tribulation, went to Mossman Gorge and Port Douglas and did a wildlife ferry thing where we saw 1 snake and 1 croc! In Cairns we also did a boat trip over to the Great Barrier Reef where we not only snorkelled but did an introductory scuba dive too! Quite scary at 1st but great fun! And spent a while lazing around the lagoon that looked over the sea.

After that, we headed down to Magnetic Island which was really chilled out. Not loads to do, sat on the beach for a while, fed wallabies (they came right up and ate the food from our hands!) and drank quite a lot....good times!!

Next stop was Airlie Beach, found ourselves a great motel with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, plasmas TV and hot tub for only $5 more than skanky dorms down the road! We left on our boat 'New Horizon' for our Whitsundays Trip. Was the best thing we have done so far. 2 nights and 2 days of sailing around the islands, stopping off to snorkel and went over to Whitehaven Beach which is THE most amazing beach we've ever seen in our lives! Met a fun group of ppl and again got rather drunk both nights and lay on the deck watching the stars and a storm off in the distance. Our mate Lewis got so pissed he fell over board!! Well funny, but at the time could have been really dangerous!

And now we in 1770/Agnes Water after a 9hr over night coach ride, at least we managed to bag ourselves 2 seats each. Yesterday we did a 3hr bike ride on choppers!! (Sorry Mum!) Had a wicked time bombing around and spotting kangaroos and stopped off for a drink at the pub before heading home. Today we went surfing for 3 hours in the pissing rain. Such good fun but totally knackering. Have got photographic evidence that we both managed to stand up!

Tomorrow we leave for Hervey Bay where we depart for our Fraser Island trip which is bound to be another drunken affair. Everyone we have met says its wicked driving yourself round the island and camping over night for 2 days and 3 nights.
