Mum
Hi there.... naturally we have talked today, but your update is appreciated and I know that everyone is keen to hear your news. As Alice said, no ice and plenty of bottled water, have 3 days relaxing and hopefully you'll be refreshed to continue without too much trouble down there.... keep smiling :-) and safe Love Mum, Dad and Rob xxxx
Alice
Hey there hun - glad to hear that all is ok!! or as ok as it can be..........
sorry to hear that you wont be doing the trail - think you would have really enjoyed it. still sounds like you are seeing some lovely sights - remember to take lots of pics. Keep your chin up and remember not to drink anything with ice so you dont end up on the loo again!!!!!!! Take care and keep writing its great to hear what you are up to and that you are still alive ......
lots of love to you both Alice x x x x x ;-)
Matt
Hey, glad you're both ok, have sent e-mail, etc. Let me know if you can't get it! Love Xxx
Dad
Glad to hear that you're both OK but it's a real pain that this bad weather has hit the place. Cuzco, which you were meant to be going to next, has had 20 hours of torrential rain and there's roads and bridges down in the area, as well as overflowing rivers.....
Could make a 'White Water Rafting' experience just that little bit more exciting?! (I wouldn't recommend it!)
Anyway, there are over 2000 toursits ahead of you on The Trail, stuck and making their way down by helicopter etc. Hotels may start to get cramped. Let us know what's happening. Hopefully things wil be sorted for you by STA and something else can be arranged.
It's a shame if the Inca Trail has been completely closed off due to weather as you won't be able to say to someone "I've been to Lake Titicaca!" (And I know you'd probably like to have said that.......)
Anyway, chin up and mum will check with STA this side for what info they have. If you really NEED to phone do so.
Love Dad

Hi Claire! I've heard that your trip to Machu Picchu is off! Such a shame. I saw on Teletext this morning that there had been up to 40 landslides there due to the heavy rain! I've spoken to your Mum & Dad now and they said that they've heard from you, so that's good! What bad timing though and I'm sure you'll be disappointed.
No doubt there will be lots more to see out there and a few more bars to discover!
Keeping having fun! ENJOY!
love Auntie Je xx

T26 Hope you are rested and feeling better. The catkins are flying here and noses are itching! Good luck with the hike_ remember when the going gets tough the tough get going.

Hi dahlink!
Mum got your text with your latest update on your tummy troubles and it reminded me of something that you forgot to pack.... a cork! ;-)
Take care with the water out there. Don't let it spoil your trip. (I hear wine's a good substitute for water?!)
Anyway, if your current illness is making you feel a bit 'pooped out' and lethargic, just be sure to keep an eye out for those Condors you mention that you saw..... They're always on the lookout for tasty passing tourists.
Have fun, keep smiling and keep taking the happy snaps, so we can SEE what we're all jealous about.
Luv
Dad

Hi Claire! Sounds like you're having loads of fun and great weather too! Lucky you. Papa should have arrived in America by now and once settled I'm sure he will post a message too. Take care. Love from all up north! x x x
