Right - I'm on the way!

Thank you so much, everyone, for all your bon voyage wishes today. It's been really lovely. So many of you have taken the time to call me, text, email or tweet! I really appreciate it. And I'll miss you all!

I really felt my adventure started this morning with early check in - dropped Ant off at school with big hugs. then dropped Skye and Gerrard off with Vik (thank you again for cattery duty!) at lunchtime. Spent a frenzied evening cleaning the house then threw everything in the car to go to Dad & Sal's. They're taking me to the airport tomorrow.

Friday night curry, and a visit from Mum - so glad John's ok!

In the morning - have to repack the bag - am straining the Maxpedition gear to the hilt - there's no room! Too much stuff! Must travel lighter!
