Cat & Anna's Adventures
Hey guys,
Well thought i'd get in another journal entry from Singapore whilst im still here. Leaving for Oz at the crack of dawn tommorrow morning - first stop Perth. Been in Singapore for over a week now - sounds like a long time but after the mentalness of the last month on our group trip, some rest & relaxtion was definately in order! Singapore is a lovely city, been fancying myself living here - although id have to get skinny as im an extra large in all the shops, so depressing! The shopping is taken as seriously as sport - there are malls literally everywhere (need i say anymore about how great it is?) Don't worry gals i have found the Topshops! Orchard Road is fab although i could only glimmer in to the windows of the fabulous designer shops! Apart from shopping, we have visited the Zoo - Polar Bear Feeding time was definately a highlight - totally shut up all the screaming kids when they threw in a live fish. Everyone watched on in horror as the bear hunted it out and devoured it! Saw lots of amaaazing animals - white tigers, plentiful of posinous snakes, komodo dragons, giraffes, orangutans, nyalas, etc etc. Also visited the night safari which was pretty cool! Got up close to a tiger - it was soooo pretty and we timed it perfectly to watch him devour his dinner right at our feet! Also visited the Asian Civilaztions Museum, Cartier Exhibition, Botanic Gardens, Changi War Museum, done a light up tour of Little India, Chinatown & Kampong Glam, Merlion Lion and Sentosa Island. So we've kept ourself pretty busy! Lucy & Jim left us to go to Sydney on Wednesday so we had a fab Tapas meal on the Quayside on Tuesday night! Also got to go to Raffles for our $21 singapore sling - frankly overrated but had to be done - the bar wasnt anything special but liked the quirkyness of having shelled monkey nuts on the floor! Dont worry i ate my weight in monkey nuts to make it worth my while! All in all, an excellent week sightseeing but cant wait to hit the beach and relax. Hoping to do some Diving/Snorkelling when I hit Oz. That's all for now folks...planning to burn off some photos when i get to Oz cos im being lazy at the mo so will update them next week at some point! Lots of love,
