Wow.
What a whirlwind week! :D
So I arrived in Sydney on the 16th after an AMAZING week in SA. <3
Sad to leave but excited for new places and new adventures!
I haven't done much in the last week as was settling in-staying with good family friends (really lovely people! :) ). I did go into Sydney for a day and got the bus around all day and went to the Aquarium and Wildlife World as well as some cool markets and Chinese Gardens and general walking around. I also did the budget version of the Habour Bridge-climbed up the pylons on the side! :P But still awesoem views-just an amazing place!
On Friday I flew into Adelaide to spend the weekend there with my AWESOME friends from my Africa Overland tour! There were 3 couples who I was all pretty close with and it was just awesome to see them all again-familiar, friendly faces. :)
It was quite a chilled weekend which was nice-we visited Glenylg beach, Victor Habour and Goolwa as well as a few other beaches there. Also watched an AFL football game! Now this may not sound that interesting but it is totally Adelaides thing and it was actually really good! Like a cross between rugby and football-butreally enjoyed it (plus one of my friends was playing in it which was cool).
We also went into the city and saw this really cool 'Northern Lights' display they had on where these really cool lights were projected onto all the old really cool buildings along the one street so it looked like they were painted-very cool! :)
Oh and I experienced a few things which are apparently essential-Frozen Coke (like a fizzy slush puppy; they couldnt believe I hadnt had one before!) and Cold Rock ice-cream- AMAZING! All these flavours and then all these mixers which they crush into your ice cream on this like big granite slab! VERY cool! :D
Also went for a BIG hike up the mountain through Cleland Conservation Park up to Mount Lofty which had views over the entire city! Beautiful! And on the way up-apart from feeling like I was going to die! lol-we saw both koalas AND kangaroos in the wild which was just SO cool! :D VERY cute little guys!
Just had some movie nights, some big nights and chilled which was awesome! :)
Anyway, I miss them all already! <3
Now back in Sydney and plans for most of the week and will probably be starting my journey up to Brisbane on Saturday!
Exciting times! :)
I should go as it is almost midnight here and up fairly early tomorrow I think...
Missing you all and hopefully I can send some pics soon (just having a few RAW reader issues with the photos..hopefully will sort it soon! :o).
Happy reading! <3
