Hello from sunny Koh Lanta :-) I'm still having lots of fun and looking forward to spending the season here diving. I'm only 4 days away from finishing the dive master course now - can't believe how quickly time has passed. Done so much and still so much to do despite only 4 days in which to do it. I've been mapping divesites, assisting instructors in the swimming pool and big blue sea and today have just been a victim for a Swedish guy doing his Rescue cours...

Hello again from Koh Lanta - I say again cos I just wrote a really long update and manged to hit a button and the entire screen vanished along with my blog entry. Hmmm slightly annoying but hey ho. I am so happy I don't know where to start :-) Koh Lanta is starting to get sunny now, the island is filling up with tourists, the dive boats are getting busier, the beaches have been cleaned and the waves are calmer and there is such a chilled atmosphere everywhere it...

So Nic and I arrived in Thailand after several flights, buses and boats. The bus from Semporna to Sandakan was indeed the karaoke bus - but with a twist. I have no idea what happened but part way through the journey the stench that started coming through the air con had all the women on the bus covering their noses in disgust. Then the bus driver pulled over, ran down the bus to the toilet hammering on the door and dragged out this little boy who looked mortified...

Hello from Semporna in Borneo. I am so pleasedto say that this is my last night in this little town. Don't get me wrong - as a base to go diving it is perfect and the people that I have met and spent time with (and hope to meet up with again later) have been wicked and many a good night has been had - however as a place to feel comfortable as a western girl it's hideous. I say this having just been groped by a small boy who is quite possibly no older than 12 year...
