We became quite familiar with our sea lion friend who spent the 3 days we were at Memory Cove sun baking and recovering from an exhausting 10 or so days hunting, gathering and feeding out to sea. Or at least that's the explanation provided by one of the resident park ranges. On first encountered we feared for his welfare but by the time we were leaving he appeared to have regrouped and was looking likely to venture back out to sea.
