Hey everyone.....are you still there??

Thought I would just do and quick update to say hi to you all at home and let you know that we are still alive and well and are lovin our lives here in Sydney!

Life here is ticking by week by week and we're bascially spending our days working and weekends drinking...well that is certainly the case for me although poor Carly has been working a lot of late shifts recently so unfortunately has missed out on a few nights out although she makes up for it good and proper when she does come out!!

So since our birthday's (which I know is a while ago now), we have been working hard but we did find time to have a party in our flat a few weeks ago, mainly becuase we have some new flatmates now, Phil and Dino. We met Phil when we travelled in China and we've kept in touch so knew he was coming to Sydney. Then one day i got back from work and he was in our flat. I was like what are you doing here and he said what are you doing here and I said I live here! Anyway him and Dino ended up moving in which is really cool. So what better excuse did we need but to throw a party! My friends Shaz and Laura came over as well as Jo, Rob and the Kids. We consumed a lot of vodka and goon. Shaz and i practiced our salsa dancing and we ended up crawling into bed about 4am!!

A few weeks later, at the beginning of November it was Melbourne Cup. For those of you that don't know, it is the biggest horse race in Australia and is bigger than the Grand National. Everyone gets dressed up and bars and restaurants put on special set lunches and screens so people can watch the race. At my work, we had a half day and they laid on food and drinks as well as a big screen to watch the race. I ended up winninfg 2nd and 3rd place on the sweepstake which was good. Anyway as you can imagine it got quite messy...and afterwards we went to a bar in the city where guys were falling over themselves to buy us drinks...it's not a bad life really!!! Carly went to Jo's house and enjoyed the race there.

Apart from that we have both been going out at the weekends, Carly is making the most of being able to spend time with Jo before she leaves. Carly is now coming back at the beginning of Feb and I am staying a few months longer until the end of March, mainly because of my contract at work.

Oh and we have both been working on our tans. Not to make you all too jealous or anything but it is coming into summer here so it is really hot....it seems weird to think of you all at home in your jumpers with the heating on when we are hitting the beach and wearing a bikini!!!

Anyway, that's about it from me for now. Hope you all still remember who we are, he he!!!

Carly's friend Sarah has arrived from home a few days ago so look out for an update from Carly soon.
