yo yo!! Right, stop number 2 is a lovely little town called Varkala just north of where we flew in to. It is lush here. Unlike Kovalam, there are steep red cliffs that ensure that all the restaurants and cafes stay off the beach, leaving it proper unspoilt. We are staying in a little bamboo hut in a a resort type place where there are other huts as well, there is a yoga centre just infront of our porch which me (nic) and Grace have used. I am sad to say that Carla has come down with Delhi belly, first i would like to add. it has been tricky for her but she is a fighter and has dealt with it well. Day three of feeling rough is beginning to take its toll on poor carla's tummy but it is alright, me and grace have been getting her naan breads and fresh juices (and extra toilet roll) to keep her going, and she is trying to get out of the room as much as possible. As for Indian life, it is treating us well. The weather is fab, proper hot all the live long day untill about half six when all the locals come out and gather to watch the beautiful sunset over the horizon. The food is good, we are spoilt for choice here as far as cuisine goes, its pretty touristy but in a nice authentic sort of way. Everyone is friendly friendly chatty chatty, no pervy Indian men as yet really, they all just keep asking if were happy!! We went to a bar the other night and all the waiters started dancing to Sean Paul, it was classic. The prices of things here is still something for us to get use to, a fresher than fresh mango juice is like 40 R- 25p. and coke is 12R. We are drinking plenty of water don't worry, and whipping out the cutacura every time we eat. Our bodies are turning a beautiful colour out here, Carla wants to be indistinguishable from the night sky. I went for a massage the other day, i had to strip down butt naked and a woman rubbed oil all over my front and back, leaving no part unrubed. My first experience of the massage!! As for our next plans, we are going on a house boat through the back waters of Allappey some time next week where we will have the sole attention of 2 drivers and a chef, and then we will head inland for Periyar wildlife sanctuary to ride elephants and then to the tea plantations of Munnar. Then to Kochin. As for that, we have no other plans. There are loads of eagles here which is a bit crazy seeing as you never see em in England. You can lay on the beach and there will be loads circling above. Loving and missing you all, thanks for the messages, its nice to here from you all Nic, Carla and Grace.
