Barbara,
Lauren had a great birthday! I went shopping without her and bought some lovely shoes that actually fit! Her request was high and bright. She loved them. Before we left Chicago Mrs G, Ms Cook and Karen (supporter) organized a birthday cookie- the size of a large pizza! Lauren fit a cute Chicago teddy in a make up bag from Mrs G. Lauren hasn't yet spent all her birthday money! She's bought some clothes mostly.
Having a ball!
Love,
Sharon

I will check Janet as we are actually in a different hotel to the girls here. It is a hilton like in Chicago so I am guessing they may only be able to use it in the lobby but I will find out shortly for you

Sharon, thank you so much for the blogs and the photos, even if the photos have to wait for a trip to Florida before being posted. Do you have wi fi in the Cincinnati hotel? I remember in previous blogs you mentioned that the Chicago hotel did not have free wi fi, so some of the girls (incuding mine) could not keep in touch via facebook. Hopefully that's different now...?

Well at the moment we have been lucky to have wonderful weather the whole trip. Any rain lasts about 5 mins and then it's warm and sunny again. In Chicago and New York they felt some of the hottest days on record here however being from Queensland we all coped fine with that. The hardest part we are all suffering from is the cold cold air conditioning indoors everywhere. Everything seems to be about 60 degrees fahrenheit (about 20 degrees cels. I'm guessing or less in the airconditioning so when it's 37 degrees cels. outside it's a bit of contrast being indoors. So no need to worry about storms here at the moment. We are enjoying the warm weather for you all and send you back warm thoughts to drive away the cold back home. We'll pack some of it in our suitcases as that is most likely the only space that will be left for any souveniers

I've been hearing a bit of news regarding horrible weather in the US, particularly along the east and central parts of the country. I hope the girls are handling it well, as well as the supporters.

I've been following the itinerary that Susan sent out in late May, and today the girls are singing in northern Kentucky, just south of Ohio where the World Choir Games will be held. Cantabile gets a mention on this site: http://www.nkyschoolofmusic.org/
Not much news, but a mention in the right hand side bar.

This is exciting just watching - cannot imagine what the actual experience is like. Should imagine there would be some extremely tired young people. Could I just say happy birthday to Lauren - please do not apologise for any of the blog being sent - it is absolutely marvelous and appreciated
