So we left Puno behind and travelled down the edge of Titticaca to the Peru/Bolivia border for our final latin America destination....the cosmopolitan centre that is La Paz!
The border crossing was considerably smoother than the one we encountered going into Peru from Equador (thank God) yet the whole experience was definitely more smelly! We still can't understand the whole naturally occuring cess pool thing in between houses - ah well!
La Paz is cheap and almost cheerful if it wasn't for the abundance of market stalls selling dead and dried baby lama and Alpaca. There are whitches markets littered down the very cramped and steep streets (With the altitude factor it really is hard to get anywhere without puffing and panting).
In the two days we were there we bought a few oddities and gifts for home but didn't really do much sight seeing. Mostly we spent the time saying good bye to our tour buddies and preparing ourselves for our next stop Hollywood, Los Angeles in the US of A!
