As we left Kununurra heading towards Broome we only spent 2 nights free camping as the temperature was rising to nearly 40 degrees and we were looking for aircon and a swimming pool by then, anything to cool the body temperatures down! We did find one great free camp though, high on a ridge top overlooking a valley so we got a good breeze there, albeit a hot one. As I suggested in the last entry, we are still here at Berry Springs. We made our trip back to Sydney and sold everything in the house and organised the completion of the sale which happens on Friday. As of Friday 30th of August we will be "Homeless and Unemployed" and boy, Is it a good feeling! Well we have made it to Darwin, sort of. We are now into our 5th week at a beautiful spot about 60ks out of Darwin called Tumbling Waters, Berry Springs. It's a lovely, friendly park, very reasonably priced and a good spot to base ourselves at. The happy hour is at least 12 plus every evening, even allowing for people coming and going, sometimes double that. We left Walkabout creek after a quick drink and rest break and then through Cloncurry and on to Mount Isa where we had a 4 day stopover to recharge, do shopping, cook up and most importantly, wash the sheets from the bed!
