Well we had finally made it to Townsville after driving driving and more driving. With not much to see on the drive east from Tennant Creek we were so excited to start driving into Townsville and get some time to move, it is so funny how being still in a car for 9 hrs a day can make you soooo Lethargic! Honestly by the time we got there disgusting is the only way to describe how I felt! Our hips and joints were sore our bums were expanding and our poor systems were just not happy with us.

We had lots to look forward to though and were also getting very excited to get to see friends and family soon! After only spending a few days in Townsville we were off to Airlie Beach………only one more sleep and Bec, Stigg, Kyle and Jake were coming to meet us! How exciting! Airlie was a great spot to relax and get lots of swim time in. Just a small costal tourist town and the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and Great Barrier Reef. Not a bad spot to catch up and do some snorkelling.
