So!..we arrived in Taipei late last night (sat 13th) welcomed by Pepi and Richard at the airport then checked in hotel , drank champagne and slept!...
Today (Sunday 14th) we started our day 10.30am ,...our first day of our hols!..And we certainly made the most of it!
First we met a lovely friend of Pepis called Micheal ,... Had lunch at the American Club and then while Richard played we chatted to Michael who is a fortune teller (a real one!)..he was very helpful and each of us were "cleansed"
Then we drove up in the mountains to meet jia ge , on the way stopping to watch tea leaf picking ladies!..then on to restaurant in hills for a lovely Hakka meal ..it rained very very heavy but cleared the air so not so humid after!..
Drive back to city and a look at Inhouse hotel number one!..beautiful!..our walk back to our hotel was made interesting by diverting in and out of the bustling streets taking in some wonderful sights and sounds,..the red theatre, street markets and the gay area which we returned to after freshening up and enjoyed 2 bottles of lovey chilled white wine!...not a good idea on a 5am get up but hey!..not every day ur in an amazing city so sleep can wait!..logging off at 3am Monday 15th June
