We sailed up from Drakor in very light winds to the Swedish island of Ven. Our 1st landfall in Sweden. We walked around the island enjoying the views. We had a bad sleep as there was some swell from passing ships and a yacht that arrived at 0200 then leaving again at 0500 mooring next to us.

Sailed up to here yesterday in 21kns of wind, it's been a bit cooler and overcast today. Keith and Annie are arriving tomorrow afternoon to spend a few days sailing with us. Looks like it will be sunny and not to much wind.

Praesto is in a large shallow fjord with a long buoyed entrance. There were what looked like Scottish highland cows walking in the water. We came across another yacht called Jonathan, most yachts are female. We stayed for two nights as there was a f 6 gusting 7 blowing right into the entrance, just before bed we noticed our lines were slack, what had happened was the strong wind had blown water into the fjord, this raised the level about 18 inches. Taero island had a marked place to anchor, when we arrived there was a new looking buoy so we picked it up. We were the only yacht until about 19.00 when a British yacht arrived and anchored. The pilotage into this area was very interesting there were no navigational aids or buoys. The channel dropped to about 2 m depth in places with shallow waters to both sides, the chart plotter lead us in with slow speed and constant watching the sonar we crept in safely. We ...

Only a 5 nm sail over to the anchorage on the island of Agerso. The propeller stayed on. It's not as nice as the kiwi, a bit more vibration and a tad slower for the same revs but it's working. Once anchored I dived under to check all was well. The water was clear so for the first time I swam along the anchor chain and saw our anchor holding us steady for the fifteenth time this year.
