Pena Palace on the hills of Sintra outside Lisbon is breathtaking. Dating back to the 19th century, it's a place you can spend a lot of time looking at the panoramic views and walking through the garden.

Sintra is picturesque beyond description. Old homes dating back centuries and a palace with two huge chimneys for the kitchen. Busy on a Sunday.

Anniversary dinner at Largo here in the Baixa, downtown Lisbon. Great seafood-grilled calamari with shrimp and shrimp risotto. Delicious. We were seated next to one of the fish tanks that line the one wall. The only sea creatures in the tanks are fascinating jelly fish. Quite mesmerising as they move around gracefully.
