We arrived at the jungle, the bus was bloody ages and the driver decided to stop and have a meal!!! haha, when we arrived we were approached by a guy offering a treehouse to stay in for 200 baht..... bargain! thats 4 quid!
so we stayed in the trees in the jungle, we decided to go for a trek and on the way saw wild monkeys, a snake, lizards, birds and loads of insects. we trekked in all for around 3 hours to the waterfalls and rivers, it was amazing to see. We had a few drinks at our camp and had an early night as we were up early the next day to ride an elephant through the jungle.
Our elephant was called Lan, he was a male, 20 years old and was so cute! the guide let us sit on his neck and we had to hold on to his head so we didnt fall! we trekked through the rivers sitting on him and them we stopped off at this amazing 3 tier waterfall where we had a little dip, it was so cold but really pretty, Lan then took us back and on the way he was lifting logs out of the way with his trunk. There were several times where he stopped so munch on some plants that caught his eye.
We have booked a night bus to take us to Koh Sumai the island and will be leaving there later afternoon.
Bye bye Jungle :(
