driving in to this place from the gold coast was hectic!! Sooo many cars driving in to the city centre and all were doing so at walking pace. first thing i notice is that everyone is riding pushbikes and all dressed from the 60's.
This place is full of hippy like shops and has the country laid back lifestyle.I def can say i like this place for all its trinket shops and alternate clothing. we are staying at the lord byron resort and it is nice. has a small one bedroom with a double bed, and the place is walking distant from the main street and beach. walking up the street you kinda of feel like you're in another world, everyone is different and speaks another language.
We walked along the beach just short of the lighthouse (checking that tomorrow).we watched the surfers for a bit and headed back to the main beach, grabbed take away of fish and chips and headed back to our motel.
Is it just me or is there no law here for wearing helmets on pushbikes?? I even seen a guy wearing a safety hat as a helmet???
the lighthouse was nice, even though i had to pay $7 for a parking fee there, the weather was alot cooler and rain was starting to come down.
Bryon is my favourite place so far, its laidback and alternative lifestyle has made me feel right at home. Its a good thing that the council put a stop to there ever being fastfood outlets and buildings taller then 3 storeys high. I will be back :)
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
Next stop Coffs harbour.. and a few places in between :)
