I think we had a relatively early flight home to Sydney from Alice Springs, which was nasty, cause the hangover was in full force by then. Oh god, a 3 hour flight on a budget carrier with a raging hangover and me, a terrible flyer! How will this work?!?! Funnily enough Joshua was also heading back to Sydney and happened to be on the same flight as us and even was able to swap seats so he could sit with us. I love Joshua to bits and pieces but his enthusiasm on the plane that morning was not something I shared that day!!!! I just wanted to crawl in a hole to sleep forever! We arrived at Sydney safely and said bye to Josh, promising to meet up again, but we still had the terrifyingly boring train journey to Wollongong to get through, but we finally arrived back at my Mum's place, where I have never enjoyed a hot shower and clean clothes more in my entire life! The red dust started to wash away, and we realised our epic adventure in the outback was over, although we were still trying to get that 'jump shot' even back in Wollongong! It was the best experience of my life, I would recommend it to everyone and I'd do it again in a heartbeat! Evs is the perfect travel buddy and I can't wait for our next adventure together! My shoes are still a distinct shade of red, and are waiting patiently for my next trip.
I would also like to say a big thank you to everyone on this trip who made it amazing, especially Evelin who had the brilliant idea to do the outback adventure. And thanks also to Joshua, Hannah, Evelin, Patrick and Sandro for their brilliant photos they have allowed me to use, and the reminders of what and where things happened in the outback. It was the most amazing trip ever!!!
