Born sometime in the early 1970;s, Aki Ra was trained a a mine layer by the Khmer Rouge. He was 5 or 6 at the time! He has now dedicated himself to the clearance of these mines and helping young people some of whom have been maimed by mines but all of whom are at risk. The museum also runs an orphanage to help victims. He was on the 2010 CNN awards list for person of the year.
