I have just checked into my first hostel. It is in the heart of Rome right next to the Vatican which I havent gotten to see yet actually. We had class here and a few of us decided to stay the night to have more of an opportunity to enjoy the city. We were on a train this morning in Arezzo by 7:15am and arrived in Rome close to 9. We walked through the busy streets and started our lectures. We went to an ancient temple first (can't recall the name right now!) And then we continued walking until we reached the Colosseum. It took me by surprise and I screamed when we came over the hill. It is HUGE, hence the name taken from the word Colossal. We spent a couple hours there walking around the outside taking pictures and then we got to go inside and see where gladiators used to fight ot the death! We continued on into the Forum where there is so much history. I dont have a whole lot of time to write so I will hurry up and summarize the day. We made it to the Parthenon and then had the most amazing pizza of my life. I will get pictures up asap! What an amazing day! Arrivaderci <3
