Dubai, we've decided it's our last time coming through Dubai airport! Sorry to start this negatively, this is a really positive blog, just Dubai airport bates bannaher (which means it beats them all on the most annoying airport in the world stakes). Say no more!
So, we started this part of our adventure with seeing Aunty Susan's friendly face and meeting Mazen. They made us feel so welcome and took us on a mini tour of Dubai, including their old residence and seeing where the Burj al (can't remember the name of that hotel) is and Mazen even stopped for us to take our photo :)
Wow has Dubai changed in my opinion! I think our first experience was biased by the fact that we felt deserted by Emirates, dumped in a hotel on a building site, we just wanted to be in the Seychelles and were worried that we wouldn't be able to get married after all the planning a d legally needing 3 days there before. But of course it was all fine in the end. Dubai is truly a place to be awestruck in. Immensely tall buildings, very hot, very clean, incredibly modern! I am normally impressed by natural geology not manmade geography, but by god is the skyline of Dubai impressive!!! Atlantis on the Palm is just amazing, the decadence and sheer wealth of people and their vehicles is indescribable, Porches and Feraris are just the norm, this is the city of the wealthy.
