Even though I don't leave for Greece for two more days...I figured I would get the blog all set up.
I am supposed to be packing right now...but I figured creating a blog was great use of my time! :)
I cannot begin to explain how excited I am to be spending the next six weeks of my life in Greece. I mean of course I am excited for all of the obvious reasons....the fact that I'll be living on the Mediterranean Sea. or the fact that I mean, hey, its Greece. But I am also excited for other reasons. I get to meet 22 other people from MSU, and I am sure I will make many great friends on this trip. I cannot wait to meet the people that live in Mytliene (the island we are staying on.) I have always wanted to experience someone else's culture. Not just see it, but live it. Eat what they eat, go about the day as they would.
I am so ready to be thrown out of my comfort zone. Everyone keeps telling me "It's going to be a huge culture shock!" Well good. I need to be shocked. It's these types of things that keep a person truly living, or at least me. I'm so excited to see what God has in store.
Anyway, next time I write I will be on my way to Greece. Probably stranded in an airport somewhere trying to make my 8 hour layover go by faster.
Back to packing.
