After our last buffet breakfast we said goodbye to some our new friends and jumped on a bus to Olympos and after one hell of a winding road trip we finally got to the little town full of treehouses.
As we arrived we were shown our treehouse which is just like a wooden cabin and went for in search of food as it was already around 3pm in the arvo and we were hungry! We settled on a gozleme each and wow they were SO good!!! After that we grabbed a Turkish ice-cream and joined some of our fellow sailers from the boat on some day beds at our hotel where we chilled out for a couple of hours before having dinner which was included with our stay.
After dinner we put on our walking shoes and headed out to see the Chimera flames. The Chimera flames are eternal flames that are continuous due to a build up of methane gas in the ground and have been burning for the last 2500 years! When we arrived we had a nice big hike to the top to see the flames in the humid heat. We returned back to the treehouse a little after midnight and went straight to bed as we were wrecked.
On the Saturday we had a nice long sleep in before getting up at 10:30am for breakfast. After breakfast we decided to try and make a day of it by heading out to see the ruins of Olympos and the beach. Problem was after paying and going through the gate we realized we didn't have our camera but Bec had her iPhone to take pictures with so it worked out in the end.
After spending a couple hours at another painful pebble beach we headed back into town for some more gozlemes and some relaxation time in hammocks and the gazebos. Five hours later we were still sitting in the gazebo on the daybeds eating dinner and drinking wine with our friends from the boat, it was a funny evening!
Day 62 was one chilled out day! We woke up and checked out then spent the day chillaxing on the daybeds and hammocks reading our books before catching a bus to Antalya for our night bus to Cappadocia - yuck, we're not looking forward to that!
