Athens, Greece Jan 2, 2011 We both enjoyed out stay in Athens, even with the rain. The pace is a little slower here than say Rome or Naples. Even the drivers have some patience. Will update with more info when we get to Jeruaslem
Delphi, Greece Jan 1, 2011 1/1/2011 What a beautiful day for a drive. It is 220ks to Delphi, and according to the GPS will take 4 hours. The route we are taking is the back roads. After a big breakfast and one of the best cappuccinos we have had so far, we leave Olympia to Delphi. The winding roads make me feel that we are lucky to have the Saab. Most of the roads are like a race track. No long straights, just lots of corners. The trip involved crossing the Rion-Antirion Bridge. 12 euros...
Olympia, Greece Dec 31, 2010 After a hearty breakfast from the Hotel Europa we drove down the road to visit the site of the first Olympic games. The museum was full of amazing artifacts, statues etc dating back to the 5th Century BC. I am not a big fan of spending much time in a museum, but this one was so interesting we stayed for many hours, so much to take in. After the museum we wandered around the sacred site.
