Paul sorry to hear about your Gran mate. My thoughts are with u and all the family. Hope you're keeping well... would be good to hear from you bud!
Paul
Hey all. Sorry for the long overdue message; spent about 30 mins writing one the other day and then lost everything I wrote!.. 1st of all, just thought i'd inform that after my Gran was in hospital the other week, she sadly passed away in her sleep whilst in hospital. Was really hard being here through that week but had no choice really, so didn't make it for the funeral. I knew though she wouldn't have wanted me to come home, and fam helped to persuade me to stay, anyway she's in a better place now and at peace - but will be missed heaps by all of us. On a happier note; dads back home after his operation and doing really well. Knocking down a wall in the house apparently, back to normal eh father?! ;-). Happy belated birthday to Aunty Jen, was 60 the other week. Hope you had a great time!.. and congrats to Seddo and Al who got engaged last week; can't wait for the stag do!! :-). Updates here... weather; frostbite time. 14 degs during the day and 5 at night!.. had to swap St Kilda beach for body bronze!! Apartment is ace, apart from having an infestation of bed bugs this last couple of weeks (check photo's!). Been a nightmare, sleeping on the floor etc. Got 3 new beds out of it though and seems to be sorted now so not done too badly! Everything else all good. Going to Phillip Island next week which is supposed to be cool - won a ticket by dancing to YMCA on stage! (I know boys's i'm losing my sanity - it's with living with 2 women!). Playing footy Sunday with Liana's bro and his mates - gonna show the Aussie guy's how it's done in England! What else, went to a winetasting evening with Jamie and Laura last night - was funny.. just went round as many stalls as we could pretending to know about wine so we could get lashed!! Still getting asked by every Aussie here which part of Ireland I come form - I just don't get it. Anyways.. hope exams are going well sis - keep your head down, and I hope you wore something over that dress at your leavers do!! Check the photo's guys.. forgot to bring the F1 pics to internet cafe but put a couple on from various nights out over last few weeks.. and most important - ROONEY IS FIT - THE CUP IS OURS! Can't wait. Got tickets to watch it in the Crown casino tomorrow night.. face paint, St George's flag the works!! - gonna be ace. Anyway hope all is well back home - enjoy the World Cup! ENNGEERLAAND!!! Paul.

Congrats to Lee and Alison. Not sure how many people know. Lee proposed at the top of the Empire State building. SHE SAID "YES"!!!! He has asked me to be best man..... I SAID "YEShimesh", and the man from Del Monte also said "YES"!
Also; Congrats to Big Pete Dulvy (Man or Machine), a mad irish lad that has just completed a 600km run (yes, six-hundred km) through India in one month through temperatures of around 40oC! Jeeeeez, im sweatiung just thinking about it! Lets see David Blaine try that stunt eh! Check his run out at www.heelsonfire.org to promote a Kerala, India, stamping out poverty, sustainable development, but also fun and adventure running.

Weather update: Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! We are reaching the dizzy heights of around 15oC here during the day, and the mornings and evening are brass monkeys; around 5oC! BRASS MONKEYS!!! Have some pictures to upload when i eventually burn them. Have some already burnt but havent got round to putting them on yet. -------------------------------------------------------
Currently still working out in the Bush. Luckily the Bush has a McDonalds, KFC and a Subway.... you never go hungry in the bush!!!!!
--------------------------
Saturday: Went to Flemington Races and had four horses out of five races, three of them winners! Walked out with a few Green Dollar Bills! Not all good news, my camera is well and truly goosed as the Canadian lad that came with us dropped it on the concrete.... Calamity number2. Saw Lucas Neill and the big AC Milan reserve Goalkeeper Kalac? Got Lucas to sign my race book. Nobody here knows who he is.... If it aint Aussie Rules they dont care. Speaking of AFL -> Eventually managed to get to a game - Collingwood v Geelong. Its better to see the game live, but Collingwood hammered Geelong... the crowd didnt seem all that interested as the result wasnt that close. Nothing like a football game back home. No chants etc.

Booked onto the Hot Air Ballooning again, but it got cancelled at 5.30am the same day again - hows your luck????. All for now, pictures later.
Liana
