All day tour of the Barossa Valley today. Scenic drive through the winding Adelaide Hills, with stops at The Giant Rocking Horse in Gumeracha and the Whispering Wall at Barossa Reservoir in Williamstown. Then headed to Lyndoch where we enjoyed a guided tour of Chateau Yaldara and wine tasting for all of us. Tue 29/04/14 Went for a drive to Hahndorf today. 18oC and bit windy but rain stayed away for the most part. Enjoyed lunch at The German Arms Hotel. Kids all had Schnitzel, while Michael and I tried some traditional German fare - Chicken Krakau & Trio Wurst und Sauerkraut - yummo! Mon 28/04/14 30oC today - yay! Had some time at the beach lazing around and doing a spot of fishing; caught one small silver whiting. Then spent time at the Big 4's Water Park which the kids found to be great fun; they even enticed Mummy in under "the big whoosher". Late lunch, home schooling then more water park and jumping pillow activities. Mexican restaraunt for dinner in Glenelg....hot jalepenos had us diving for the bread and water. Sun 27/04/14 After an exciting morning of laundry, we took a drive to Glenelg. Beautiful 25oC day and the espalande was lovely. Walked the main street and pier. Lukas had a go on bungy trampolines and then we dropped into the beach front Grand Hotel for eats and to watch the Bulldogs vs Crows footy match; unfortunately WB went down by 9 points. Fri 25/04/14 Easy drive to Adelaide, a mild 24oC and little traffic. Stops were Renmark for lunch and fuel at Truro. Arrived at 3pm and did partial setup as quick as we could as rain was coming.
