Selamat pangi everybody.
After a long trip from Ko Lanta we arrived in Georgetown yesterday. Because of the end of the Thai holiday (new year) it was very busy at the boarder and we had to queue for like 2 hrs to get a stamp to get out of Thailand and another 2 hours to get into Malaysia. At the boarder I had the most discusting toilet experience so far, Asian squat toilet with a door you have to move in front by yourself because it was not fixed anymore to the wall, dirty, wet, stinky... and a row of 20 women who all had to queue for 4 hrs, nice!
But the rest of Malaysia we saw so far is more developped then Thailand, everything well arranged, nice tourist folders, offices, malls, drinking water in the tap and flush down toilet paper (WOW!!!). We only spent a very short night in Georgetown (6 hrs), because this morning we already left to the Cameron Highlands. First time we had to wear a sweater because on 1600 m it's a little colder than at the coast (23 C). We saw beautiful stunning tea plantages today and tomorrow we plan to hike up to 2023 m.
As you can see everything is well and we don't have any troubles with the troubles in Bangkok. We are very lucky that we don't have to go back there, because everybody is of course worried where it's going too.
Friday we are going to the biggest National Park in Malaysia (Taman negara) to hike through the jungle and hopefully see some very special things.
Big kiss, b&n
